Common questions

Where is my data stored?

All your todos and plans are stored locally on your device. We don't have access to them and can't see what you create in the app.

Does the app collect analytics?

Limited anonymous app-opening and feature-usage events help us understand which features are useful. Version 1.3.0 adds activation milestones, coarse daily activity buckets, alarm setup choices, backup outcomes, Extra-screen usage, and rating-request eligibility. Events include basic app information, timestamps, and a random installation identifier, but never todo content, alarm times, sleep duration, names, or email addresses. We cannot see whether you submitted a rating. Analytics is never used for advertising and never sold. Turn it off completely in Settings to stop future events and delete the pending queue. RevenueCat subscription processing is separate and is not disabled by that switch; see the privacy policy for details.

What does the app send when I subscribe to Extra?

My Next: Extra is handled by RevenueCat, our subscription provider. The app sends it a randomly generated customer ID — no name, email address, or account ID — and RevenueCat processes the purchase and entitlement status Apple reports. That is what validates receipts, unlocks Extra, restores a purchase, and lets one subscription work across Todo, List, and Note. RevenueCat starts with the app rather than only at purchase time, so it applies whether or not you subscribe. Apple processes all payments, so no card details reach us or RevenueCat, and none of it is used for advertising. Because Extra cannot work without it, this is separate from the analytics switch in Settings. One practical note: if you have Extra, your backup file also carries that customer ID so Extra can follow you to a new phone — which is a good reason to treat backup files as private.

What happens if I delete the app?

Since your todos and plans live only on your device, deleting the app removes all of them. We recommend exporting a backup from Settings before deleting.

How do I manage my subscription?

You can manage or cancel your Extra subscription in your iPhone's Settings app under your Apple ID > Subscriptions, or directly from the "Subscription & Support" section in the app.

Can I use My Next: Todo on multiple devices?

Todo works on your iPhone and its paired Apple Watch. Watch changes can queue offline and transfer after the devices reconnect. This is paired-device transfer, not cloud sync between multiple iPhones or iPads.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet — as a small studio, we're starting with iOS to get the experience right before expanding. Android is on the roadmap and something we'd love to build.
