The short version
My Next: List is an offline-first app. Your data stays on your device. We don't collect it, we don't see it, we don't sell it.
Data storage
All your lists, items, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. This includes any grocery quantity and unit data you enter. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or back it up.
What we don't collect
- No personal information
- No usage analytics or tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No location data
- No contacts or calendar data
- No crash reports sent to us (we use on-device logging only)
Subscriptions
If you subscribe to Extra, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive a confirmation that your subscription is active, but we do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, or any personal information.
Data export and deletion
You can export your data at any time from within the app. Since your data lives only on your device, deleting the app removes all your data. We have no backups of your data and cannot recover it.
Third-party services
My Next: List does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service involved is the Apple App Store for subscription management.
Future changes
If we introduce optional cloud sync in the future, it will be entirely opt-in. Your data will remain local by default, and any sync feature will use end-to-end encryption. We will update this policy before introducing any such feature.
