Fazon (working name)

IN PROGRESS

Period-based weight-loss coach with active and maintenance phases.

Where Fazon is going

Fazon — short for “phase on,” the moment a defined active-period kicks in — is a different shape for weight-loss apps. Most weight-loss apps frame engagement as endless. Fazon explores the inverse: alternating between a free maintenance baseline and time-limited active-phase coaching. Build started in May 2026 — the iOS scaffold is in place and the maintenance Today screen is wired to live HealthKit data. The working name and parts of the methodology may still change before anything ships.

Screenshots

  • Fazon's Today screen on iPhone — a Good morning greeting above a maintenance card showing steps (7,893 of 6,000), protein, calories, and current weight, with Today, Food, and Trends tabs.
  • Fazon's food log on iPhone — the day's protein and calorie totals above logged Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks rows, each with per-meal calories and protein.
  • Fazon's Trends screen on iPhone — an 84-day weight trend line down 2.2 kg, above daily-average bar charts for steps, protein, and calories.

What it does

  • Defined-period coaching

Weight-loss coaching with a clear start and end, alternating with a free maintenance mode — not an endless tracker.

  • Walking-first

Favours walking and daily-movement targets over heavy gym routines, for users who prefer accessible activity.

  • Calm coaching

Structure and clarity without pressure — feedback and check-ins, not motivation theatre.

Where we are

Done

  • Concept and methodology drafted (vision, refinement, full spec, design notes).
  • Brand foundation v1 — name treatment, voice (EN+SV), tokens, Sunrise design bundle.
  • iOS app scaffolded — three-tab shell, Dynamic Type, Theme.swift tokens, DEBUG design-tokens screen.
  • HealthKit integration — capability + usage descriptions, HealthRepository with JIT permission, daily-steps reader, DEBUG HealthInspector.
  • Maintenance Today screen wired to live HealthKit + food data — four-row MetricsCard, ViewModel with LiveQuery reactivity, XCUITests in place.

Next

  • Flesh out the food-entry capture flow behind the Today screen.
  • Begin the active-phase coaching loop — phase definition, daily check-ins, end-of-phase summary.
